GUELPH – The board of Directors of Guelph’s People and Information Network (PIN) will hold its final annual general meeting on June 22 at 10C Shared Space on Carden Street in Guelph at 4:30pm.
Following the meeting, friends, members and former staff will hold a celebration of the organization’s work accomplished in over two decades.
PIN was established more than 20 years ago; it was inspired by the United Nations International Year of the Volunteer in 2001.
“Shutting down PIN has been a painful process,” PIN board chair Janet Kaufman said.
“We have been deeply touched by those who reached out to PIN to express their gratitude for the valuable service PIN provided,” Kaufman added.
PIN’s board and staff members have been working to ensure its most vital services can be transitioned to other local, non-profit organizations.
“We will announce the outcome of those negotiations as soon as they are finalized,” Kaufman said.
The annual general meeting and celebration are open to interested parties, and pre-registration is required. Registration for the event is available on PIN’s Eventbrite page.
