PIN announces new executive director

GUELPH – The board of directors of PIN – the People and Information Network  recently announced the appointment of Kim Cusimano as its executive director.

“We are pleased that PIN will continue to benefit from Kim’s commitment, drive and ability to innovate,” said Janet Kaufman, chair of the PIN board.

“She has a passion for volunteerism, and we are confident that she has the ability to lead the organization as we continue to respond to the needs of our community during the pandemic and beyond.”

Coupled with an educational background and over 25 years’ experience in volunteer engagement, Cusimano has worked in non-profits and charities in both rural and urban areas, developed and facilitated programs, events and training.

Since joining PIN in 2016, she has provided support to non-profits and charities in Guelph and Wellington County with best practices in volunteer involvement and training along with leading marketing, communications and events for the organization. Cusimano has served PIN as interim executive director since April of this year.

“At PIN, we bring people, information and ideas together through our pillars of work” says Cusimano, “now, more than ever, bringing people together in the pursuit of information, meaningful volunteer opportunities and leadership growth and connection in the community benefit sector is key. I am thrilled to work alongside the Board, team and community as we head into our 20th Anniversary in 2021 and beyond.”

Kim’s appointment is effective immediately.
