With Valentine’s Day coming, Global Pet Foods is asking pet owners in the area to spread the love during its seventh annual “Show Us Your Heart” campaign.
This year Global Pet Foods is raising money for Cats Anonymous, a shelter in Marsville which, because of its no-kill policy, always has a high number of cats in its care.
To properly care for all the cats and to keep the shelter running, Cats Anonymous relies solely on donations of the community.
From Feb. 2 to 16 pet owners can show their support by visiting Global Pet Foods in Fergus (600 Scotland St.) and donating as little as $1.
All proceeds will go directly to Cats Anonymous. Plus Global Pet Foods and Hill’s Science Diet will match the first dollar of donations made in-store. Donations can also be made from a mobile phone by texting the word “HEART” to 20222 for a $5 donation.
Since 2006, Show Us Your Heart has raised over $400,000 for animal shelters across the county.
