On Feb. 28 the everyone is invited to attend a seminar on ways to reclaim the sacredness in our food practices.
Presented by Father Jim Profit, S.J., executive director of the Ignatius Jesuit Centre, the seminar will take place at Harcourt Memorial United Church, located at 87 Dean Avenue.
Food is an important means of connecting people to the universe and to the change of the seasons. The industrial model of production and distribution of food separates eaters and growers of food from each other and from the Earth.
The seminar begins at 7pm at a cost of $10 and is preceded by a light dinner for those who are interested. Donations will be accepted for the dinner. The seminar is sponsored by the Guelph Seminar.
