FERGUS – The audience flashed back to the 1960s at the Fergus Grand Theatre on June 6 as Christina Leroux took the stage in Pearl: a Janis Joplin Experience. Leroux covered most of the songs from Joplin’s Pearl album, imitating her iconic gestures, motions, and that infamous gravely voice. And the eight-piece band that accompanied her showed what a big band can do with the sounds of rock and roll.
