Workshop – Macrame was big in the 1960s and it’s enjoying a resurgence. At least it did at a macrame event at the Wellington County Museum and Archives on March 19, as instructor Bethany Ghent showed participants the ropes. Workshop participants learned to make beautiful designs with string and rope. Officials say there are around 50 different knots used in this handiwork. Instructor Bethany Ghent, centre, shows Jillian Boks, right, from Fergus and Nikkole Myers from Elora some fine points of knots.
