The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada will host its third annual 5km Pace for the Donkeys Trail Run on Sept. 27 from 10am to noon at the farm (6981 Concession 4).
Activities at the event include a 5km trail run/walk, Donkey Dash (100m for five age groups: 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11), group photo, awards ceremony, and “Donkey ‘N U” photos. All registered participants receive a Pace for the Donkeys T-shirt and a button.
Individuals and teams welcome. Children who wish to enter the Donkey Dash must also register online.
All proceeds go to the care of over 80 donkeys and mules that have been abused, neglected or need a new home. The sanctuary will open noon to 4pm. For information and on-line pledging visit: http://paceforthedonkeys5k.com or www.thedonkeysanctuary.ca.
