OPP officer charged after collision

An OPP officer has been charged with running a stop sign following a two-car collision here on Monday.

Wellington County OPP officials responded shortly after 6pm on July 17 to the collision at the intersection of Wellington County Road 22 and 10th Line.

Police say an OPP cruiser was traveling northbound on 10th Line “and failed to stop at the intersection of County Road 22, striking an eastbound vehicle.”

Neither driver was injured.

Provincial Constable Sukhvinder Toor, an 11-year veteran of the OPP, was charged with disobeying a stop sign (failing to stop).
