FERGUS – A Fergus man has been charged with assault and committing an indecent act during an altercation at a local business.
Wellington County OPP officers responded to a retail store on Tower Street in Fergus on March 7 at about 3pm.
Police say a suspect entered the store “and became involved in a verbal altercation with a store employee.
“The suspect proceeded to commit an indecent act. When asked to leave the store, the suspect assaulted the same employee.”
Serguei Nevzorov, 55, of Fergus, was charged with assault and committing an indecent act in a public place.
He is to appear in Guelph court on April 9.
