GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Police are looking for help to find those responsible for defrauding a local business of close to $40,000.
Wellington County OPP officials say officers began an investigation into a fraud at a business in Guelph/Eramosa in March.
“It was reported that a check for over $38,000 was mailed from the business to a vendor and that cheque was intercepted and deposited into a fraudulent bank account,” police stated in a May 21 press release.
Police say investigators are looking to identify three people captured in surveillance photos, though they did not indicate where/when the photos were taken.
