The OPP has released information about a person considered “a high-risk to re-offend” living in Southgate Township, which borders Wellington North.
In response to what police are calling a “public safety issue,” the OPP had advised residents in the area that Brenden Sarginson, 30, is now living on Southgate Road 75.
He has previous convictions for theft, sexual assault and failing to comply with a probation order. Sarginson completed a custodial sentence in Alberta in 2014 and another in Ontario last week.
He has been released on probation and is bound by two probation orders with the following conditions:
– 24-hour curfew, unless accompanied by a designated adult;
– keep the peace, be of good behaviour;
– not associate or communicate with anyone under 18 years old; and
– not to be in a position of trust/authority over any person under the age of 18.
Sarginson is described as a Caucasian male with hazel colored eyes, shaved brown hair, heavy build, six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
He is required to report to a Barrie probation and parole officer as well as the Grey County OPP on a regular basis.
He will also be monitored by an electronic device while on probation.
Anyone with information regarding a breach of the above noted conditions can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or Grey County OPP at 519-794-7827.
