WELLINGTON COUNTY – Local police laid more than 100 charges during a traffic enforcement campaign over Thanksgiving long weekend.
“Operation Impact,” conducted between Oct. 11 and 14, targeted the OPP’s “big four” violations: impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving and failing to wear a seatbelt.
Officials say police laid a total of 111 charges during the campaign, including: two each for stunt driving and distracted driving, four each for seatbelt violations and impaired driving, 82 for speeding and 17 for other “moving violations.”
