Opening night for Minto Arts Council’s juried art show

MINTO – The Minto Arts Council held an opening night for its seventh juried art show at the Harriston library on May 9. The show runs until May 24.

Winners in different categories proudly show off their ribbons. Not all winners were in attendance, but they included Diane Schurman (best watercolour – Wonder), Colin Williamson (best photograph –  Path to the Pot of Gold), Andrea Colquhoun (best print making – In the Moment), Ann-Ida Beck (best sculpture – Abandoned), Kathie Wright (first place overall – Morning for Fishing), Tanya Zariski (second prize overall – Soujourner) and Moumita Rouchowhury (third prize overall – October Storm). Winners showed great gratitude for their wins, judged by Faith Hieblinger who was unable to attend, and Scott McNichol (front row, right).
