On March 22, at approximately 8:10am, Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a serious collision involving two vehicles on Highway 23 between Third Line and Fifth Line here.
Police say a northbound 2006 Chevrolet collided with a southbound 2013 Mercedes. The passenger of the Chevrolet died of his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Jordan Morrison, 22, of Derby Township.
The driver, a 21-year-old Owen Sound woman was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the southbound Mercedes, a 52-year-old from the Town of Minto, and two passengers, his wife and 13-year-old son, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Town of Minto Fire Department and Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended the scene.
Wellington County OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) assisted by West Region Reconstructionists are continuing with the investigation.
