93, formerly of Belwood, passed away peacefully at Meadows of Dorchester in Niagara Falls on June 4, 2024. Loving mother to Debbie (John) and James (Najma), sister to Doug (Dorothy), grandmother to Sarah and Michael (Kate), and great-grandmother to Levi and Briar. Elsie will be greatly missed by her family and friends, especially Joan Leighton. She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Susan (“Tiny”) (Norris) Leighton, siblings Helene Bilton, Joyce Glenn, Betty Holling, Donald and Ray, husband Jim, daughter Suzanne and partner Bob. Special thanks to Megan of Visiting Angels, friends at Pine Meadows Retirement community, staff at Meadows of Dorchester, Shorthills Villa Retirement community and Greater Niagara General Hospital. A service honouring Elsie was held at the St. John’s United Church at 1pm on Monday June 10, 2024.
