Charlotte passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Wellington Terrace, Fergus at the age of 73 years. Her loss brings us great sadness, yet also joy in knowing that while Charlotte is absent from the body, she is present with the Lord. After many years of health challenges Charlotte is now at peace. Charlotte was born in Toronto on October 4, 1950. She will be dearly missed by her brother Don and sister-in-law Pamela Woodhams. Cherished aunt of Alice Pharoah and loved by many nieces and nephews. Also missed by her beloved aunt Mary (Cliff), adopted sister Laura Woodhams, and by her many friends, church family, and caregivers. Predeceased by her parents Leslie and Sylvia Woodhams, brother Ronald (Ruthie), nephew Tom, niece Becky (Mike) McArthur, and great-nephew Caleb Pharoah. Charlotte loved her many friends and acquaintances, as well as all her furry friends. She was an avid knitter and made countless socks, sweaters, blankets, hats and mitts for anyone and everyone. She always had a helping hand for all who needed it, especially at her last residences at Gordon St., Fergus and St. Joseph’s LTC, as well as her brief stay at Wellington Terrace LTC. Visitation will take place on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 3-5 and 6-8pm at Bethel Mennonite Church, 6772 8 Line W., Elora. Public interment will be held at 10am on Saturday, May 25, 2024 in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery, followed by a service at the adjoining church at 11am and reception in the fellowship hall. We want to thank Dr. Easterbrook, Dr. Stickney, and all the nurses at Groves Memorial Hospital and St. Josephs LTC. An extra special thanks to all the staff at Wellington Terrace LTC for their love and care in her final days. A special thank you to Margaret Eby, her God sent special ‘sister-friend’ who took such great care of her. We also want to thank Pastor Dave from Bethel – the true definition of ‘Shepherd’. His visits and care were so appreciated. Donations in Charlotte’s memory to Bethel Mennonite Church or Wellington Terrace Palliative would be appreciated, and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
