It is with sadness that the Wilson family announces the peaceful passing of their dear mother, Elsie Jean Wilson (Allison) in her 101st year, at Strathcona long-term care home, Mount Forest. Elsie is now reunited with her beloved husband of 64 years, William Benjamin (Ben) deceased in 2003. Elsie Jean was the loving mother of 4 sons; Carman (2022) and Janice of Fergus, Wane (2021) and Marianne of Milton, Gary and Erica of Amaranth, Allister and Johanna of Elora. Loved and cherished grandmother to 7 grandchildren; Rhonda-Lee (Larry), Robert (Shelley), Jason (Sue), Deana, Michael (Jo), Justin and Kelly (Brodi). Predeceased by 2 grandsons Keith and Mark. Great grandmother to 10. Great, great grandmother to 7. Elsie Jean was the youngest daughter of the late Thomas and Jenny Allison of RR #1 Campbellville. Predeceased by her brothers William and James Allison and sister Laura Warmington. Elsie Jean was a loving woman who cared deeply for her sons and their families. She enjoyed family gatherings, and camping in the earlier years, she was an avid reader and enjoyed making many quilts with her husband Ben. Elsie was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Eden Mills until she was no longer able to attend in person but her faith kept her strong. The family would like to thank the staff at the Stone Lodge Retirement Residence in Guelph, before moving to the Strathcona long-term care home in Mount Forest, for their wonderful care during her stay there. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph.
