Ross McCallen Wilkie of Harriston passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 21, 2025 in his 82nd year. Husband of Jane (Dubrick) Wilkie. Father of Christine & Mark Armstrong, Todd Wilkie & Susan Weigel, and Jill & David Reichart. Grandfather of Sidney, Jocelyn, Madelyn, Mackenzie, Katelyn, and Elijah. Brother-in-law of Penny Wilkie, Dennis Dubrick, and Jerry Cronin. Predeceased by his brothers Dr. George & Suzannah Wilkie, Donald Wilkie, and John & Myra Wilkie, parents Rev. J.D. & Emma Wilkie, by Jane’s parents Ross & Madelyn Dubrick, and by sisters-in-law Heather Cronin and Gayle Dubrick. Ross was proud to be a long-time resident of Harriston. As an outgoing and social guy he was always up for a friendly chat or visit. He enjoyed connecting with people and valued the numerous friendships he had. Being community minded, Ross was an active member in local organizations. He enjoyed working with people to help raise money for community projects. Ross was a well-spoken individual who could walk into a room and talk to anyone. He had a soft heart for young people. He had a sense of humour and many have been on the receiving end of his teasing. Ross and Jane enjoyed travelling together, spending time with family and following the interests of their grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:30pm with reception to follow at the Harriston Legion. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
