Born Dec 16, 1922 in New York City, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Guelph on Oct 15, 2023. Bruce is survived by his four children, Brian (Lynn), Jim (Kerry), Pam (Edward) and Hugh (Sherry) and his eleven grandchildren. Predeceased by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Phyllis Wood. After preparatory school at Horace Mann in New York, Bruce graduated with an economics major from Yale University, as a Phi Beta Kappa. Bruce was passionate about economic analysis, working for JP Morgan, (NY) Power Corporation (Montreal) and ultimately as Director of Research at MacDougall, MacDougall and Mactier, Inc. (Toronto). We are eternally grateful to his full-time caregiver, of 8 years, Renee Cunningham, and appreciate the kindness and care Dad received from staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Guelph. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church in Elora on Saturday Dec 2nd at 11:00am. Donations in Bruce’s memory can be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Guelph, Ontario.
