Passed peacefully in his sleep at home in his 91st year on November 4, 2023. Predeceased by his wife of 49 years Margaret Wolfe, sister Irene and brother Leslie. Survived by brother Robert (Edith), wife of 18 years Marie Diefenbaker, children Douglas (Gloria), Joan (John DeVries), Ronald (Heather), Stephen (Laurie), and Joyce (Wayne Tyler), step-children Darren (Norma Jean), Sherri (Andrew) and Shannon (Matt), 15 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren. Vernon was a local farmer who dedicated his life to family, church and community whose actions spoke louder than his words. The visitation will be held at Central Pentecostal Church (7674 Colborne Street, Elora N0B 1S0) on Thursday November 9, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm as well as Friday November 10, 2023 at 10am with the funeral service following at 11am.
