White, Arthur Stanley; After a lengthy illness at Palmerston and District Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, January 31, 2013. Art was born 77 years ago to Howard and Valda (Wales) White in Arthur. Art is survived by loving wife of 52 years, Doris (Scarrow) White. Art was a devoted father of Chrissie White (Ron Bouwman) of Alma, Susan and Haynes Hubbard of Kingston and Scott and Mardell White of Fergus. He was the proud grandfather of Sebastian, Gabriella and Caspian Hubbard and Haley and Dolan White. Art was the dear brother of James (Jean) White of Arthur, brother-in-law of Mabel Henderson of Arthur, Norma and Hugh Revell of Etobicoke, Clifford and Marion Scarrow of Fergus and Audrey and Jim Waddell of Burlington. He was predeceased by his grandson Brian Carey (1998), his brother Alvin White (2010) and sister-in-law Shirley White (2011). Art was the owner of White’s Garage in Alma from 1961-1997. Art will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his church and his community. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service was held from the Crawford Chapel on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. Spring interment Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur.
