WATSON, William Harold

WATSON, William Harold, of RR#3 Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Kay (nee Christiani) and the late Alice (nee Webber). Loving father of Evelyn and her husband Dennis Molyneaux of Burlington, David Watson and his wife Margot of Durham, Joseph Watson and his wife Doreen of Durham, Anna and her husband Frank Madia of Streetsville and Kathy Watson of Arnprior. Cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law of Barbara Watson, Marjorie Watson and Wes Porter. Predeceased by his siblings: Annie Watson, Howard Watson, Verdun Watson, Clarence Watson, Ruth Holbrook and Ruby Porter. Visitation was held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Sunday, November 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Harold’s life was held at the Funeral Home on Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Louie Foster officiated, a prayer was given by his son, Pastor David Watson and his son-in-law, Dennis Molyneaux, played the organ.  Words of remembrance were given by Evelyn Molyneaux, Anna Madia, Kathy Watson and Eric Watson.  Family members sang “In Christ Alone” and they led the congregation in singing “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow”, “Joy Unspeakable” and “It is Well with My Soul”. The pall bearers were Darryl Molyneaux, Eric Watson, Brian Watson, Mychael Walker, Howard Watson and Ken Porter and Danny Gonzalez was a flower bearer. Committal service and interment was held at Maplewood Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Foursquare Gospel Church would be appreciated by the family.
