WATERS, Ken; peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his home in Kenilworth on Thursday November 27, 2014 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Rhoda Waters (nee Rendall) of Kenilworth. Dear father of Mervin of Baden, Patricia of Kenilworth and John (Cecilia) of Kenilworth. Loving grandpa of Shane (Christine), Chad (Catherine), Ryan, Calvin (Andrea) and Brooke (Josh). Cherished great grandpa of Mervin, Brandon, Josh, Sam, Zoey, Phoenix, Gwen, Austin, Cadence and Quintin. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Ethel Waters, sisters Marion Leaver and Ruth MacArthur, brothers Mervin and Milton and daughter-in-law Janet Waters. Born June 29, 1921 and raised on the family farm in Arthur Township, where he lived until his passing. Ken joined the Highland Light Infantry of Canada and served overseas from June 1940 to September 1945. Along with the help of his wife Rhoda, and children he established one of the earliest and most respected registered Holstein herds in the area.. Ken was an active member of the Arthur United Church and the local community. The family will receive friends at the Arthur United Church 101 Tucker St., Arthur from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Saturday December 6, 2014.
