Walser, Vera Marie (Nee:Klein); 1910-2011 Surrounded by her loving family, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on October 2, 2011 at the Wellington Terrace, Fergus, Ontario. She will be re-united with her husband Harry (July 21st, 1998). Loved and devoted mother to Marvin and Karen Walser and Brenda and Don MacDonald. Mom was dearly loved and admired by her grandchildren Cindy (Scott), Darrel (Lisa) and Shari. Treasured great nana to Jessica, Duncan, Sydney, Tess, Taylor, Kiley and Arwen. She is survived by her only sister Rita Heffernan and sister-in-law Verna Walser, and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Mom was a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League, Elora for 55 years, and a lifelong member of St. Boniface Historical Society of Maryhill. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. East in Elora, on Thursday, October 6th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary the Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 267 Geddes St. in Elora, on Friday, October 7th at noon. A reception will follow the Mass and a private family interment will take place at Marymount Cemetery later in the day.
