Vance, Doris Evelyn; With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Doris, age 63, after a year-long battle with leukemia which she fought with grace and courage. Beloved wife and best friend of Ross for over 43 years. Loving and devoted mother of Alicia Vance and her husband Eoghan Salee, and Stephen Vance and his wife Claire McCusker. Proud grandma of her two baby grandsons, Ross and Findlay. Dear sister and sister in law of Ruth and Ron Beaudin, Don and Karen Murray, Barbara Murray and Jim and Pat Murray. Lovingly remembered by her mother in law Alicia Vance, her sisters in law and their spouses, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Jessie Murray, her dear brother Norman Murray, and father in law Arthur Vance. Family received friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Sunday, January 26, 08 from 7-9pm, Monday, January 27 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral service was held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, St. Patrick Street. Fergus on Tuesday, January 28th at 11am. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur in the spring.
