Of Drayton went home to be with his Lord, peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, September 11, 2022 in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Annie (Hogeveen) for 46 years. Cherished father of Anneke and Terry Kuipers of Palmerston, Wendy and Sheldon Friske of Barrie, Marieke and Dave Scholten of Drayton, Martin and Brittany Van Zandwyk of Moorefield. Loving grandfather of Cole and Ella Kuipers; Paige Friske; Brett and Nolan Scholten; Summer, Ainsley and India Van Zandwyk. Brother of Cor and Thea van Zandwijk, Fietje and Arie Biesheuvel and Elly and Cees Bogerman all of the Netherlands. Brother-in-law of Trijnie and Wim Ledder and Janny and Dick Boltjes all of the Netherlands and Elza and Rob Korbee of Australia. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Maarten and Wendalina van Zandwijk and mother-in-law and father-in-law Albert and Anna Hogeveen. The family will receive friends at the Palmerston Christian Reformed Church, Whites Road, Palmerston on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Pastor Andrew De Gelder will conduct the funeral service in the Palmerston Christian Reformed Church, Palmerston on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:00am followed by interment in Bethesda Cemetery.
