David Elliott Van Veen, a gift on his mother’s birthday, Sept. 25, 1970. Born a Koningskind, a special child of the King. He was nurtured and embraced by his family, his church and his entire community and for this we as a family were grateful. Dave struggled with some of his limitations but in general was a cheerful, smiling, fun individual who walked in faith and in the knowledge of his salvation. He loved and praised His Lord, in his walking, his writings, his speeches, his singing, his piano and recorder. He loved his family, especially his parents, and his family loved him. Dave received loving care at his group homes, and from other individuals as well for which the family again is very thankful. As a family we are comforted and joyful that Dave can now serve and praise His God without sin, without limitations. To God be the glory! Most lovable, special little brother to: Bill (Donna) Van Veen, Pat Van Veen, Pete & Bets Van Veen, Wayne & Sam Van Veen, Annette & Eric VanGrootheest and Brenda & Martin Riesebosch, 29 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by loving parents Herman and Doety, and big brother Doug. Friends will be received at the Canadian Reformed Church of Fergus North, 6534 First Line in Fergus, on Friday, March 8th, 2024 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral Service for David will be held at the Canadian Reformed Church of Fergus North on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 11:00am. Reception to follow. Private family interment.
