It is with broken hearts and immense sadness that we announce the passing of our mom Judith Ann van Grootheest (nee Howlett) on November 19, 2023. Predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Gerald (2020) and her parents Allan (1988) and Stella (nee Pike 1992). Loving mother to daughters Angela (Tom), Barbara (Larry), and Heather. Loving sister of David Howlett (Lindsey). Mom was born on January 20, 1944 in Woodstock and the family moved to Marsville. She met a handsome farmer named Gerald, they married on August 1, 1964, and had 3 beautiful daughters. Dad ran a successful auto business in Fergus and Mom worked at Heather & Hearth Scottish Shop. Family was the most important part of her life, she loved to bake, cook, and craft. A faithful member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, she also volunteered her time at the Fergus Legion and the Canadian Cancer Society. Before Dad passed away, they enjoyed travelling around Canada and the USA in their motorhome. We’d like to thank OPP Constables Donaldson and Graves for their kind support and advice during a difficult time. Funeral arrangements TBC.
