van der Valk, Mildred Rose (nee) Pollowy; Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 13th, 2012. She leaves behind her loving husband Jake of 47 years, and her children, Jacob Jr, Wesley (Michelle), Allyson (Desmond), and Joseph (Desiree). Mildred will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Cameron, Shannon, Brooklyn, Blake and Lawson. Survived by her mother Stella Pollowy and her sisters, Linda, Shirley (Mark) and Betty-Jane (Hason). The family would like to thank the kind staff at Groves Hospital and the Guelph General. Visitation for Mildred was held at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus on Tuesday, April 17th from 4-8pm.
