Van Der Pryt, John, (79), of Hillsburgh, Ont went to be with our lord suddenly due to a heart attack on Sunday, March 3rd at Winterhaven FLA. John is survived by his cherished wife Diana (DeVos) of 56 years and his loving children Peter (Elaine), Mari-Len (Al), Theresa (Lino), Paul (Tina), Diana (Richard). John was a loving grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. John is survived by four brothers, numerous in-laws. Predeceased by his sister Dorothy. John is fondly remembered by many friends. His family will receive visitors at Butcher Funeral Home in Erin on Friday, March 8th from 2-4 and 7-9, with prayers planned for 8:00. The funeral mass will take place on Saturday, March 9th at St. John Brebeuf Catholic Church at 11:00 am, after John will be laid to rest at Mary Mount Cemetery in Guelph. There will be a reception after at Holy Rosary Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Food for Children and Peace and Development.
