passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, surrounded by the love of her family. She will be dearly missed by George, her beloved husband of 58 years, and children: Janet (Dan) Scheele, Doreen (Maarten) Kenter, Carol (Gord) Vellenga, and Gary (SherryAnn) Van Ankum. Fondly remembered by 16 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister, Annie Evenboer (Jan) and brother, Arend Jan deBoer (Klaasje). Loved sister-in-law of John and Sonja, Mildred Jean, Arnie and Jayne, Jake and Marlene Van Ankum. Predeceased by Hilbert, Janneke, Allan and Jean (Jake) Van Ankum. The Lord gave Mom many gifts. She really shone in the area of hospitality, hosting many, bringing meals to the sick and showing loving care. She was a wonderful gardener, 4H leader, and was very willing and able to help on the farm. She and George volunteered for 40 years for the Canadian Diabetes Association. Heartfelt thanks to the Bayshore Palliative Care Team. Your excellent care enabled Mom to stay at home with her family nearby. In Lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada or Drayton Reformed Church would be appreciated. A private family funeral took place on Saturday, January 9, 2021 followed by interment in Drayton Cemetery. A link to view Alice’s service will be available on the Heritage Funeral Home Website below her notice. www.heritagefuneralhomes.ca The service is also available on the Drayton Reformed Church youtube channel www.youtube.com/channel/UCF4HvLhgYgoPRvuBr63NihQ
