SWITZER, Craig. Peacefully at his home on Friday February 24, 2017. Craig Switzer at the age of 68 was the beloved husband of June (nee Thomson), loving father of Kris Switzer (Ashley) and Brooke Switzer (Dennis) and doting grandpa of Alyssa and Carter. Craig was the caring brother of Keith Switzer (Barb), brother-in-law of Ray Thomson (Ellen), Gord Thomson (Grace) and Carol Burton (Tim). Predeceased by his parents Howard and Donalda Switzer of Hillsburgh. He will be missed dearly by his many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. Craig was a lifelong resident and farmer in the Town of Erin, past president and life member of the Erin Agricultural Society, past president and lifelong leader of the Wellington County 4-H Association, past president and Canadian Director of the Ontario Salers Cattle Association and Steward and former treasurer of Mimosa United Church. Craig had a passion for farming, agricultural antiques and the rural lifestyle. Friends are invited to visitation at Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main Street, South, Erin on Friday March 3, 2017 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. A celebration of Craig’s life will be held on Sunday March 5, 2017 from Rockmosa Community Centre, 74 Christie Street, Rockwood at 2 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday. Following the celebration of Craig’s life, friends are invited to stay for a time of fellowship and reception.
