It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Murray Clifford Swanston, on Friday, April 17th, 2020, at the age of 78. A dear and devoted husband of Marlynn, loving brother of Lorna McMaster, beloved father of Kerri OKane and Kelli Sharman (John), cherished Papa of Michael and Stephanie, Taylor and Siobhan. Predeceased by his parents Clifford and Elsie. Murray was born and raised on the Fifth Line, Eramosa Township. He had a fulfilling teaching career at Kitchener Collegiate and Acton District High School where he was fondly known as “Swany”. He was a founding member and Chairman of the Rockwood Parade of Lights for 25 years. He was an amazing father, always made time for his grandchildren and shared his love and wisdom with us all. Farming was his passion and he devoted his entire life to it. He was a man of honour and integrity, and will be dearly missed. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Murray’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel.
