STREICHER, Catherine – of Route 4 Harriston, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday February 14, 2018 at the age of 73. She was the daughter of the late Solomon and Bena (Zehr) Albrecht. Beloved wife of Levi S. Streicher whom she married in 1965. Loving mother of Leonard and Emaline Streicher, Mark and Susan Streicher all of Harriston, Verna and Harvey Kuepfer of PEI, Susan and Ivan Albrecht, Steven and Mary Ann Streicher, Linda and John Albrecht, Judy and Joseph Zehr all of Harriston. Sadly missed by 59 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Magdalena Albrecht, Mary Albrecht, Esther Albrecht, Sarah Albrecht, Elizabeth Gerber, Enoch and Mary Streicher, Rebecca Streicher, Catherine Streicher, Ezra and Emmalene Streicher, John and Elizabeth Streicher, Marie Ann and Cornelius Jantzi, and step sister-in-law of Sylvia and Elsie Streicher. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her brothers Henry, David, Cornelius, Jonas and Tobias. Also predeceased by her father-in-law Rudy Streicher, mother-in-law Katie (Schmidt) Streicher, step mother-in-law Katieann (Albrecht) Streicher, brothers-in-law Reuben Streicher, Jacob Streicher and sisters-in-law Barbara Streicher and Lena Smith. Catherine was a member of the Old Order Amish Mennonite Faith. Family and friends were received at her residence, 5646 Highway 9, RR4, Harriston on Thursday February 15 after 1:00 p.m. and again on Friday February 16, 2018. The funeral service was held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Levi and Catherine’s home with Bishop Joseph A. Kuepfer officiating. Interment followed in Lakelet Cemetery. Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood (519-356-2382) assisted with the arrangements.
