Passed away peacefully at the Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at age 88. Donna (nee Walker) was the beloved wife of Robert Strachan for 59 years. Loved mother of Laurie (John Matheson), Wayne Strachan (Maxine Chapman), and William Strachan (Christine). Dear grandmother of Johnny, Jennifer, Nicholas, and Connor. Daughter of the late Norman and Mary Walker. Beloved sister of Marjorie (late William Bell) and Janet (late James Holmes) and predeceased by her brothers Douglas (Elsie Walker), Bruce, and Ken (Esther Walker). Loved sister-in-law of William MacDuff (late June MacDuff) and the late James Strachan. Donna will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Brault and the staff of Groves Memorial Hospital and Heritage River Retirement Home for their compassion and care. Friends will be received at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington Street, London, for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 2:00pm. Interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens in Oldcastle at a later date. In memory of Donna, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Metropolitan United Church.
