Steeves, Eugene Roy (Buzz), of Belwood, ON, passed away peacefully, in his 82nd year, on January 21st, 2023, at Guelph General Hospital. He survived by; Ilona Nicholson – Wife. Ed Steeves- Son, Melanie Steeves – Daughter in law, Janet Saur – Daughter, Marty Saur – Son in law, Mary Saur -Granddaughter and Jacklyn Saur – Granddaughter. He is also survived by Ilona’s family; Corina Nicholson-Larson – Daughter, John Larson – Son in-law, Richard Nicholson – Son and Crystal Ward – Daughter in-law, Justin Larson – Grandson, Andrew Nicholson- Grandson, Kameron Nicholson – Grandson, Brody Atkinson – Grandson and Karly Atkinson – Granddaughter. Buzz was predeceased by Edgar & Sophie Shea. Buzz worked at Better Beef Ltd. for 20 years. Upon his retirement in 1999 he spent his time restoring many things such as autos, boats and airplanes. Later in life he had a second career with Vandermarel Trucking Ltd. He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life including raising horses, power boats, flying his prized airplane “Jezabelle”, and being a long time member of the Classic Ford Truck Club. As Buzz requested, a celebration of life will be held in his honour at a later date. Buzz will be dearly missed and always remembered. May you always fly high with a tailwind, Buzz.
