STAUFFER, Verna; formerly of Guelph and area – passed away at Royal Terrace, Palmerston on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in her 95th year. Verna was the wife of the late Lloyd Stauffer for 58 years. Mother of Shirley Bott and her husband Larry of Wroxeter, and Bob Stauffer and his wife Wendy of Listowel. Remembered by her grandchildren Stephen and Karen Bott, Wayne Bott, Dean and Laurie Bott, Lisa and Rick Lannin, and Phillip and Erin Stauffer; by her great-grandchildren Tara Trollope, Shaun Bott, Theresa and David Keating, Joshua Bott, Caleb Bott, Amelia Lannin, Ella Lannin, Eva Lannin, Sophie Stauffer, Maggie Stauffer, and Ryder Stauffer, and by her great-great-grandchildren Trent, Ashton, Kira and Samuel. Sister-in-law of June Lenhardt of Burgesville and Irene Watson of Guelph. Verna was the last surviving member of her family, being predeceased by her brothers Jack Lenhardt and David Lenhardt. She was an avid quilter and a life-member of The Women’s Institute. Friends called at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service was held at Brethren in Christ Church, Fordwich on Saturday, September 27 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Hutchinson officiating.
