Of Palmerston passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in his 68th year. Dear son of Viola Spahr and the late Gerald Spahr (2005). Fondly remembered by Debbie Woods and her daughter Sherri and Shawn Irvin of Palmerston. Cherished papa of Kaleb, Kody and Kassey. Brother of Betty and Sam and Brenda and Murray. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews Kelly, Mike (Niki), Jessie and great nieces and nephews Justin (Stacey), Dylan (Amanda), Owen, Reed, Abby, Molly and Isabella and friends. Jim grew up on a farm outside of Palmerston and enjoyed tending the fields in the summer and snow removal in the winter. He loved John Deere tractors, GMC trucks and classic Road Runners. Jim lived a simple life but was know by many. If he wasn’t in his tractor he was touring the streets of Palmerston keeping a close eye on things. To honour Jim’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Frank Lambier Legion Branch 409, Palmerston on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 2:00 to 6:00pm. Arrangements entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston.
