SMITH, Lindsey Mirn

April 19, 1984 - August 14, 2024

We are sharing the heartbreaking news of Lindsey’s passing on August 14th, 2024 at Waterloo Hospice at the age of 40. Lindsey was born in Elora to Liz and Pat Smith on April 19th, 1984. Lindsey leaves behind her loving husband Trevor Rockett and the pride and joy of her life, daughter Frankie. She is survived by her loving mother Liz Smith and brothers Andrew(Janelle) Smith and Matthew(Nikita) Smith and her nieces and nephews that she absolutely adored, Evie, Ophelia, Bryden and Asher. Lindsey will be sadly missed by her aunts, uncles and cousins along with her father in law, Bill Rockett and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her father Pat(2022). Lindsey had the most sparkling blue eyes that along with her joyous and infectious personality, brightened every room she entered. She was such a kind and genuinely caring individual that she positively impacted everyone that met her. Lindsey’s sense of style was unmatched and oh how she enjoyed her cross border shopping sprees. She also had an uncanny knack for interior decorating. Lindsey looked forward to, along with her baseball buddy, trips to watch the Toronto Blue Jays every summer. Lindsey’s laugh started at the tip of her toes and worked its way up and when it started, was so contagious that it had everyone laughing. When Lindsey set her mind to accomplishing something she did just that, so much so that within less than a week after being admitted to hospice, she had her own wedding planned and on July 22nd married the love of her life and became Mrs. Rockett. Lindsey will be sorely missed by so, so many. Who is going to remind us on the 25th of every month how many days there are until Christmas? The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all of the staff and volunteers at Waterloo Hospice for their remarkable care of not only Lindsey, but also the entire family. In accordance with Lindsey’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Waterloo Region.
