SITTLER, William (Bill); Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2015, at Grand River Hospital after suffering a severe stroke, at the age of 87 years. Loving husband and best friend for over 58 years to Dorothy (nee Wideman). He will be dearly missed by his children, Steven (Pam), Richard (Julene), Debra Boot (John), Julianne Kruisselbrink (Raymond), Timothy (Joan), and his grandchildren, Amy, Katelyn and Dustin; Thomas, Ciaran and Irian; Rebecca, Richelle (Maynard), Renee (Michael), Raelyn (Samuel), Reanne and Radine; Joel, Daniel, Naomi, Lukas and Anna; great grandchildren, Hannah and Kaleb; as well as sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews of the Wideman family. He was predeceased by his parents, Josiah and Rachel Sittler, sister Elizabeth Sittler, half brothers Josiah and Henry, half sister Elvina Metzger, and brothers-in-law Harold, Clare and Edgar Wideman. Visitation took place on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Funeral service was held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Hawkesville Mennonite Church, 15 Martha St., Hawkesville. A private family interment took place prior to the service.
