SINCLAIR, Irene (nee Jackowski)

August 17, 1943 - September 4, 2024

With profound sorrow and deepest admiration, Glenda, Debbie, and Valerie announce the passing of their beloved mother, Irene Sinclair, on September 4, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was 81. Irene was the heart of her family and a cherished member of the Ospringe community for over 60 years. Born in Weimar, Germany, on August 17, 1943, to Marian and Donna Jackowski, she was predeceased by both parents, her brother Roman, her husband Keith, their son Andrew, her common-law husband Dan, and companion Alex. Her legacy lives on through her three cherished daughters: Glenda (Mark), Debbie, and Valerie (Jason), her pride and joy grandchildren: Kiersten, Braiden, Hudson, Brooklynn, and Nick, and her adoring partner, Vern. Irene will also be deeply missed by her sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Irene will be lovingly remembered for her strong and feisty personality, her extraordinary baking skills, generosity, and stunning flower gardens. She took immense joy in doting on her grandchildren and was their #1 sports fan. Her most treasured moments were spent in simple family gatherings, engaging in conversations with her partner, children, sons-in-law, and grandkids. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at the Everton Cemetery on September 11. A social gathering to honour Irene’s life with her family and close friends will be held at Irene’s home from 1-3pm on September 11. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Marin, Karen Zamin, Kelly Gouweloos and Eleonor Buteau for their compassionate care. Condolences may be left for the family at www.tricitycremations.com or by calling 519-772-1237. We will hold you in our hearts forever.” Love, Glenda, Debbie, and Valerie
