SEWALL, Patricia Ann

SEWALL, Patricia Ann; Patsy passed away peacefully at Dulcina Hospice, Calgary on July 14, 2016. She was born on October 13, 1943, in Mount Forest. In 1976, she moved to Calgary. Patsy was a terrific lady. She was the family historian. For over 40 years she collected invaluable information about the Goodyear and Stortz families. Her gift for recalling events and remembering birthdays was unique. She became an active part of the communities in which she lived. She had a real zeal for life and lived every moment to the fullest. Though small in stature, she was huge in character. People like Patsy can teach us how to cut through all the irrelevant in life and enjoy the moment. Patsy was predeceased by her husband, Jim Sewall, and by her parents, Fred and Bertha Goodyear. She is survived by her brothers, Jim (Anne) Goodyear, St. Agatha, Jack (Marilyn) Goodyear, Waterloo, her sister, Marie (Doug) Rhodes, Calgary, and special friend, Karl Grahn, and by her numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved and in whom she took great pride. Thank you to the Palliative Home Care team, who provided Patsy with excellent care so that she could live comfortably in her own home. Grateful appreciation to Dr. Mark Evans and the staff at Dulcina Hospice, for the care, dignity and respect with which they treated Patsy. Donations may be made to Calgary Health Trust, 800 11012 McLeod Trail SE Calgary, T2J 6A5, (tel# 403-943-0615), specifying that the donation go to Palliative Home Care. A celebration of Patsy’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements McInnis and Holloway, Chapel of the Bells, Calgary.
