From Palmerston passed away peacefully in his sleep at Wellington Hospice in Guelph on June 11, 2022. Survived by his children Jason (Jackie), Bev (Steve Day), John (Megan) and David (Marieke). Proud Opa to Jordan, Jessica, Jayme, Austin, Drew, Brett, Nolan, Sofia and Will. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters Herb and Shirley, Hennie and Richard VanDyke, Ralph and Pat, Be and Joyce, Dagmar, Jack and Theresa, Mary and Ralph Mulder, Albert and Shirley. And many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Karen, brother Richard brother John and sister in law Christina Scholten. Many thanks to Dr. Deacon and the Mapleton staff. His wonderful nurses at Bayshore Sandra and Kathy. Kim from the LHIN Wellington Hospice for the wonderful care to dad and us as a family. True to his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be on June 25, 2022 at the Palmerston Legion, upstairs from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. To keep it Muck style card tables will be set up downstairs. He loved playing cards with his friends and he did it almost to the end. He worked hard and played hard. Come celebrate and share fond memories with the family.
