Of Cambridge and formerly of Drayton and Palmerston passed away unexpectedly at Victoria Hospital, London on Tuesday February 27, 2024 in his 88th year with his three daughters by his side. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Burnett) Schieck (2012). Loving father of Lorrie and Charles Spaling of Drayton, Debbie and Keith McIntosh of Drayton and Kathy and Steve Kirkham of Cambridge. Dear grandfather and great grandfather of Nicole Zmudczynski, Harrison and Molly, Nathan and Allison Spaling, Casey, Harvey and April, Nicholas and Alexis Spaling, and Charlotte, Natasha and Rob Woodland, Melissa and Jeff Taylor, Naomi, Brooklyn and Alexis the late Mackenzie and Ronald McIntosh (twins in infancy 1984), Vanesse and Stefan Soderman, Norah, Penelope and Soren and Jarrod and Ivana McIntosh, Genevieve and Elodie, Brittany and Frank Deen, Rachel, Blake and Janelle, Stephany and Kristopher Jamieson, Aubrey and Asher, the late Tyler Lopers (2005), Josh Kirkham and Kayla Wierts and Chad Kirkham. Brother and brother-in-law of Marjory Cunningham, Floyd and Donna Schieck, Donna and Neil Darby, Phyllis Fletcher, Joy Burnett, Karen Burnett and Stewart Burnett. Predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Florence (Wright) Schieck. Sisters, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Lorene and Joe MacDonald, Frank Cunningham, Joanne and Norman Kidnie, Frances and Doug Keena, Bill Burnett, Ethelwyn Burnett, Earl Burnett, June Burnett and Ray Fletcher. Ron will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Ron was past Worthy Patron of The Order of the Eastern Star, member of Pal Mocha Shrine Club, Royal Arch Masons, Cambridge Shrine Club and Past Master of Conestoga Masonic Lodge #295. In 2016 he was awarded the Grand Lodge Appointment for his dedicated long service. Private Family Celebration of Life will be held in conjunction with Conestoga Lodge #295 Drayton, Masonic Service. As expressions of sympathy donations to Shriners Childrens Hospital would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged through Heritage Funeral Homes, Drayton, Ontario.
