Peacefully, while surrounded by her children, on Sunday, August 20, 2023 the Lord called to Himself Wilma Scheper at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Willem “Bill” Scheper for 56 years. Loved mother of Anita and Pete Van Rootselaar, Jeff and Dawn Scheper, and Arlene and Butch Medemblik. Beloved Oma of Holly Scheper, Samantha Scheper, John and Michelle Medemblik, James and Joanna Medemblik, Sarah and Mitchell Kingma, Julia and Joseph VanGrootheest, Joshua and Alicyn Medemblik, Hannah and Joel VanSydenborgh, Nathan Medemblik and Abigail Medemblik plus 16 great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Susan and Henk Holtvluwer, Margaret and †John Wynia, †Matthias Wynia, †Callie and Bill Hofsink, †Cornelius Wynia, †George Wynia, Lettie and †John Hogeveen, Roelie Schipper, Albertje Horsman, John and Tina Scheper, and Derk and Annie Scheper. For 19 years, Wilma supported Anchor Christian Homes at their Summer Camp serving primarily in the kitchen. She also regularly volunteered for many years at the Mission Thrift Store in Fergus. Special thanks to the PSWs from Closing the Gap and Right at Home, the staff at Wellington Hospice in Guelph and the many friends who helped Wilma during her illness. Friends visited with the family at the Canadian Reformed Church at Fergus North, 6534 1st Line, Fergus on Wednesday from 3-5pm and 7-9pm where the Memorial Service was held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 11am, Rev.
