SAUNDERS, Mary Therese of Arthur passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her children at the Caressant Care Nursing Home, Arthur on Monday, September 18, 2017 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Russell Saunders (1998). Cherished mother of Brenda Murray of Port Elgin, Bob Saunders of Arthur, the late Ken Saunders and his wife Pat Saunders of Arthur, Ruth and Rob Leone of Oshawa, Lori and Bill McFadden of Belwood, Dan Saunders of Arthur, Ron and Deanne Saunders of Arthur, Leo and Monica Saunders of Arthur and Darcy and Rose Saunders of Alma. Grandmother of 22 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 on the way. Sister of Sheila Stortz and Fred O’Donnell. Sister-in-law of Peggy O’Donnell and Margaret Darlington. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Francis and Irene (Coffey) O’Donnell, brothers William, Michael, Brendan, James O’Donnell and great grandson Jayce in infancy. The family will receive friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St John’s Roman Catholic Church, Arthur on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to the St. John’s Cemetery or to the Arthur Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
