Roth, Marjorie Isobel (nee Purdon) January 22, 1924 – April 24, 2008; With deep sadness, Marjorie Isobel Roth’s family announces her passing at age 84. She is survived by her loving husband Tom. Left to mourn her loss are her children Valerie Ross, Pat Brown, Marilyn (John) Fehr, Robert Bott, Betty Herbison. A devoted Grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her 10 grandchildren Trevor Grasley, Dwayne Grasley, Kelly(Sean)Reger, Jim (Cheryl) Brown, Cathy (Brian) Hoysa, Jennifer (Justin) (Adams), Jeff (Amy) Shafer, Angie (Thomas) Lenox, Mike Herbison and Chad Bott. and 9 great grandchildren. Marjorie is survived by her brother Archie (Mildred) Purdon and her sister Muriel Moffat. She was predeceased by her sister Doreen Rintoul, her brother in laws Jim Curran and Lloyd Moffat and her parents Robert and Hazel Purdon. She was born in Wingham, Ontario and moved to Lethbridge in 1982. Marjorie was a fabulous cook, regularly providing a welcoming place for family and friends. She will always be remembered for her compassion, kindness and her hearty laugh. A quietly giving woman, Marjorie enjoyed serving people or lending a hand to ease another’s burdens. As an accomplished artist, Marjorie loved painting the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The fragrance of flowers were always blooming in her home and garden. Tom and Marjorie would have celebrated 13 years of marriage on May 13, 2008. Marjorie Isobel Roth suffers no longer and has arrived safely into her heavenly home in the late afternoon of Thursday, April 24,2008. Proverbs 31: 28 Her children rise and call her blessed and with great pride her husband says, there are many fine women in the world but you are the best of them all! A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 2pm in the Clifford Community Hall in Clifford, Ontario.
