Peacefully David in his 80th year passed away January 18, 2023 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Loving husband of Janice (Jan) Rogers (nee) Sevenpifer. Dear father of Steve (Kyla) and Jeff. Grandfather of Brox, Taylor (Leslie), Jess (Ryan) and Sarah (Dan). Great Grandfather of Alexis, Aubree and Burkely. David will be missed by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Elsie Rogers, his in-laws Blake and Herma Sevenpifer, brother Fred (Helen) and Marjorie Corey (Norman). David worked at Dofasco for 10 years, as a millwright, owned his own business (Selkirk Lawn and Garden Equipment) and 30 years as a Sales Representative with Michelin Tire Co. Remco and Remington Tire Co. David had a gift of music in the church, was a soloist, choir leader and David and Jan had a music ministry as well singing in nursing homes, hospitals and church etc,. Relatives and friends were invited to visitation at First Baptist Church 306 Erb Street W. Waterloo on Saturday January 21, 2023 from 11am-12noon. A funeral service began at 12 noon with Pastor Bob Snell and Pastor Andy Carducci officiating. Reception followed. Interment in Elora Cemetery for immediate family.
