RICHARDSON, Terry

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Thomas Terrance Richardson “Papa”, passed away peacefully in his 76th year, after a hard, courageous battle. Terry’s last day was August 1st, 2020. While surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his own home, The Lord called him home. Terry and the love of his life, Phyllis, have 60 years worth of amazing memories, laughs and a whole lot of love. Terry and Phyllis created a life most people only dream to be blessed to live. Terry is the son of the late Thomas and Vera Richardson, and will be fondly remembered by his brothers, Bill (Iris) Richardson, John (Joanne) Richardson, and his sister Joan Richardson. Terry and Phyllis were blessed with three children, Mike (Judie) Richardson, Brenda (John) Baker, and Debbie (Chuck) Binkle all of Minto. Terry felt very fortunate to have all of his children live within five minutes of the family farm. Terry’s legacy will live on through his eight grandchildren; Kyle (Becky) Richardson, Kourtney Richardson (Chris Hoffele), Tawnya (Mark) Robertson, Kaitlin (Jason) Schnurr, Brittany (Lyle) Beckett, Niki (Justin Wigle), Ryan and Bradley Binkle. Nana and Papa are also grateful for eleven great grandchildren and counting. Together Terry and Phyllis and their family run a successful dairy farm outside of Harriston. Terry was blessed to have many great friends both in Minto and in Florida where Terry and Phyllis have spent their winters for over 20 years. There is a special place in Terry’s heart for his dear friend Ross Wilkie. Papa was a special kind of man who always spoke with kindness, was a hardworking farmer who devoted his life to making sure Phyllis was happy. He always had a “snapper” for his grandkids and said “ta” after getting his kiss. He always made sure he made time to make everyone he knew feel special. Papa will be missed by so many but his family finds comfort in knowing he will be ploughing fields, taking Georgie and Tikka for endless walks and continuing to find ways to make Phyllis smile while being in heaven. A celebration of Terry’s life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
