Joan Rose Anne Richardson of Harriston passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Palmerston & District Hospital on Monday, January 18, 2021 in her 64th year. Mother of Tammy Stewart and Jamie Williams of Harriston, Melissa Anger-Weber and Jeff Weber of Brunner, Jason Anger and Janna Dally of Harriston, and Chad Kaye of Harriston. She will be missed by her grandchildren Taylor Stewart, Owen Stewart, Austin Stewart, Olivia Anger-Weber, Grace Anger, Avery Anger, Kadence Anger, Noah Kaye, and Simon Kaye; and by her co-pilot ‘Babe’. Remembered by her brothers Bill and Iris Richardson, and John and Joanne Richardson, her sister-in-law Phyllis Richardson, all of Harriston, and by Edd Lawrence of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her husband Warren Kaye, her daughters Carrie Kaye and Julie Anger, her brother Terry Richardson, and her parents Tom and Vera Richardson. She was ‘Momma Bear’ to many because of her strong, independent and caring way, always with a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. Always inspiring her kids and grandchildren to work hard, take care of each other, and be sure to have fun. She loved watching all their milestones. Joan enjoyed life to the fullest taking early retirement which allowed her to fulfill her dreams of spending winters in Florida and summers at River Place Park with trips to the Casinos and plenty of card games. In her eyes friends weren’t just friends, they were family. A private family funeral service will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday, January 22nd at 11:00am. The funeral will be recorded and the link available shortly after the service. A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at a later date. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
